We all know that content is necessary to be found online.  However, although it is necessary to have content that is written it does not always have to be in written form.

Let me explain.  Many individuals have wonderful information to share but are not the best writers.  Some are wonderful writers but simply don’t have the desire to write or feel as if writing is a type of torture.  Instead of having all your information presented in a written form, consider the use of videos.

Now some individuals will not like to use videos, but with the age of technology and more and more individuals turning to the Internet for information, video is the perfect way to connect instantly.  With video, your prospective client will sense or feel a connection because they are able to see you, hear you and view your facial expressions.  What a wonderful way to connect with someone online in video form and then connect with them in person.  It’s as if you already know a little bit about them, because you have watched them on video.

Perhaps you are not the video type.  Although you will eventually have to put your fears aside at some point, there is yet another form that you can connect with your audience.  The other form to share your information is by audio.  By simply recording your voice, you can share valuable information to your target market.  Perhaps you have taken notes and simply can’t find the correct words to make it flow nicely in written article form.  Try recording yourself;  simply talk to your audience.  When you can freely share your information via audio, it will show not only your expertise in the area that you are sharing but you will also be connecting in another fashion.

Content is definitely important, but now you have many ways to share your information.  Consider combining all of the above on your web site or blog to truly entice your audience.  Your goal is to connect in hopes to continue sharing your information as a coach, consultant or perhaps as a business partner or more.  The most important part is to find a way to connect and build a relationship.  When your audience feels comfortable with you and can trust you, the referrals will come naturally.  Don’t cement your feet to the ground and think that you can’t write, there are other ways to share your content.  Yes, the written word is important but it is not the only method of choice.

This is a topic or question that I am asked about all the time ~~ how to create intriguing content.  Better yet how to simply just create content.  Well, for someone who loves to write, that is not difficult so I had to put myself in their shoes.  I can certainly understand how it may be difficult to sit at your desk facing a blank screen or page and hoping beyond hope that something will simply jump out at you.  Or maybe you are the type that likes to write everything out on paper first and are staring at a blank pad of paper.  Is there hope?  I am here to tell you that there is hope!

You’ve heard these 3 letters…PLR everywhere, well at least online, but what does it all mean?  PLR stands for private label rights and are simply skeletal articles that you can use for your sites, newsletters, ebooks but you must re-write.  Be sure to change the title, and add your own twist to make them your own.  View the video below for more information:

Do you ever encounter those dreaded moments? The moments when you are on a deadline or truly need to write something but can’t seem to find the words?  I’ve encountered those on many occasions but have found some great solutions.  Hopefully the solutions I share below will help you with your writing block:

• Take a break – sounds silly, especially if you are on a deadline but it is necessary.  Honestly, sitting at your desk staring at your computer screen or worse yet, a blank sheet of paper is not going to help spark the necessary creativity needed to write.  Move away from your desk or writing area and take a break.  Giving your mind a break will help refresh it.

• Surf the net – you’ll be surprised at the amount of information that is available at your fingertips.  Take some time and surf your favorite sites {not gaming sites}, blogs, news sites, etc.  Simply reading what others are sharing will help spark your imagination and give you many ideas, and topics on what to write about.

• Take a poll – not sure what your readers are interested in, ask them.  Using a simple survey method, such as Survey Monkey can provide the information needed for you.  Your readers or the public in general will answer the simple questions you provide to help you with your writing.  Take those answers and develop posts, articles, projects and so much more.  After all, don’t you want to provide to your readers what they truly are interested in?  Makes perfect sense.

• Hire a ghostwriter – many still struggle with writing or perhaps do not have the time required to write so ghostwriters were invented.  Yes, a ghostwriter can help with your writing needs and the best part is that no one has to know that a ghostwriter is writing your articles, newsletters, helping with eBooks and more.  A ghostwriter is there to make your life easier, so you can focus on other projects, other business and your family.  Consider hiring one, but be sure to interview them and ask for sample writings to be sure that you can work together as a team.  After all, they will be writing for you, so be sure they capture your voice and you are happy with them.

• Use PLR – for those that are unsure about what PLR is, let me explain.  PLR is short for private label rights and of course that still may not make sense.  PLR’s are articles that have been written for your use.  You can purchase them individually or in bundles and are used to help with your writing needs and projects.  I like to think of PLR’s as skeletal articles, a starting point for you.  PLR articles are not meant to be used ‘as is’.  It is important to change them and add your twist to the articles.  Changing the title and several sentences within the articles are highly suggested.  Remember these articles are available to the masses, so use them as a starting point for your blog posts, newsletter articles, podcast, and larger projects such as power points, eBooks and tele-seminars.  Be sure to research the information contained within the PLR articles to verify they are still valid.  They are great resources and definitely will help when you have the dreaded writer’s block.

Have you ever considered what will happen after you’re gone? More importantly what will happen to your online business after you’re gone?

This isn’t something we like to think about but is a subject that is very important.  If tragedy strikes today, will your business keep running? Can it keep running without you?  With an offline business, many will be made aware if such a tragedy should occur, but what happens to your online business?

Just recently a friend that I had met when I first started my online business passed away unexpectedly.  After the initial shock, it made me think of my online business.  First was how would my family members contact our clients and make them aware.  More importantly would they know where to look for the information to contact the clients?  Have you ever thought of that?  Sure, many of us have online businesses. Some are small and some are growing leaps and bounds, however do we have all our records in order in case of an emergency?

For  this reason and many others, it is imperative that you have a plan set in place.  It is best to let your family, spouse or significant other aware of your business and the people you associate with on a daily basis.  You may consider having a file set up with all your login information, client information, phone numbers, website information and anything else that relates to your online life.  Many of us, take for granted that we have it all on the computer, but consider the moment that you are not around.  Will your family have access to your information?  Will they easily find your information?

I understand this is a sensitive subject but one that is of utmost importance.  Just as you would make your family, friends and business associates that are offline aware of any emergencies, the same applies to your online life and business.  Are you prepared? Start today – don’t wait until it’s too late.

This is a question that many life coaches and business coaches ask of their clients.  But did you know that we are taught this early on in our lives?  Our why? Why do we do what we do? Why do we choose to turn left instead of right? Why do we choose to talk to one person and not the other? Why have you chosen your path in your life?  Yes! Why have YOU chosen the path you are on?

You see, it’s a matter of choice.  Many will argue that it is a matter of survival, but again what method you choose to survive is still your choice.  When it comes to business, the same question is asked.  Why did you choose the career you are in or pursuing?  Where you programmed from an early age to believe that it was the path you should take? Or where you driven to that path?  These are all questions that we must ask ourselves if we are unhappy or even happy with our paths.  If we are unhappy, then we must determine what path will make us happy and work our way to that path.

Many of us are programmed to believe that we must attend college or universities to achieve greatness.  That is not TRUE!! What I believe is that we can determine our greatness without attending traditional school settings.  How many individuals have you met that are actually working in the given profession they chose when they were in their early 20′s?  Times change and so do our lives and we must be able to adapt to those changes.  Why have you chosen to work from home?  Perhaps it’s because of the freedom it allows you as well as the opportunity to be with your family.

We must all determine what our Why is and what we can do to achieve greatness following that Why.  So, you’re probably wondering what my Why is.  My why has been and continues to be close to my family.  This is the reason we {hubby and I} made the choice of structuring our business around our family.  It’s not an ideal situation for everyone but it is for us.  My why continues to be to help others achieve their greatness, helping them determine what their Why is and applying that to their lives.

This question is not an easy one and for some it is not easy to change overnight, but it is one that must be answered in order to move forward in your life.  Are you doing what you are doing because you were told to or because you have chosen to?  Perhaps it is just a stepping stone to something bigger and greater; and that is fantastic!

So, here goes…do you know your why? If not, sit down with a paper and pen and write down why you do what you do. Then answer the question why, and continue writing the answers down until you come to the final answer and start applying or aiming for that final goal.  You can do it!

I’m sure that as soon as your read the title you were wondering, what on earth I was going to be sharing.  As entrepreneurs and business owners, we all have some sort of drive and fire within us or we wouldn’t be doing what we do. Just as a super model has the drive to walk down that cat walk so do we! We are all different and may have different circumstances but our drive, and desire keeps us motivated to move forward, neglecting whatever obstacles come before us.

Everyone knows the importance of not only having goals but writing them down whether in general or for business.  However, have you ever thought about how effectively you were writing such goals?  Merely writing them down as a list is not enough.  Writing down the details of each particular goal will actually make them more achievable.

So, how exactly can you write achievable goals? Here are some tips to help you:

• Start with a positive mental attitude (PMA) – when you have a positive mental attitude, your goal writing will reflect your attitude therefore making such goal attainable
• Details are essential – as mentioned above a list is not enough, be more specific when writing down your goals, for instance if you want to obtain more clients in the next 30 days, write down how many more clients you’d like to obtain.
• Be realistic – let’s face it, we can have goals and aspirations that may never come to fruition, let’s not write those down.  Instead write ones that are realistic and with hard work and determination will be achieved.
• Write your goals on paper – Don’t just dream about your goals and aspirations, write them down!  Once written on paper, make copies and place in areas that you will see them daily.  Try shrinking one and carrying it with you in your wallet, having your goals written down and with you at all times will make them harder to neglect.
• Determine a time frame - as mentioned above details are important.  If you have set a particular goal, be sure to set a time frame, whether it is 6 months, 3 years or 10 years, be sure to write the time frame next to each goal.

Now the fun part begins.  Once you have written out your goals and they are clearly defined, it is time to schedule your day around what you intend to achieve.  This may be one of the most important parts of your goal setting and achieving them.  Everything you do and say no matter how minor it may be, should bring you closer to your intended goal.

A schedule is important in achieving your goals and a perfect way to focus on your goals.  Your success lies in your hands, but more importantly in your attitude.  If you truly believe that you can achieve your goal than you will and no one or anything will deter you from achieving your goal.  Do not allow yourself to get disappointed if a goal is not achieved in a particular time frame.  Remember to be realistic. You can make the adjustments that may be needed to continue pursuing your goal.  So, start today!  Get a paper and pen and write down your goals.
