Many folks think that a blog is simply an online journal of your daily life events. Although that certainly is a definition it is merely one definition. A blog is not limited to your personal life. Some who own blogs, never mention their personal life. Those particular individuals may have a blog that pertains to a hobby or certain craft they enjoy, such as photography, sewing and more. Some use blogs or as I like to refer to them as, websites for much more.
If you are an entrepreneur and want to build your business online, having a blog is extremely beneficial. The same applies to an individual who has an e-commerce shop or perhaps involved in direct sales. A blog/website can be used to market your business for mere dollars a month. A blog, can cost as little as 4.95 for hosting, and 9.99 for a domain name. There are many designs that are inexpensive but when starting off you can also begin with a FREE theme or background.
Use your blog to promote your products or service but most importantly use it for interaction. Post articles that will intrigue your target market. Writing about your product or service is a great way to market yourself along with your product as well as building credibility. Many people are weary of the internet, but will feel comfortable and more willing to work with you if they are familiar with you. Having a blog provides that sense of familiarity for your audience and that is definitely something you want to build.
